TV Black Screen Fix | (Works for All Models)

I show you how to fix your TV black screen problem with simple repairs that anyone can do at home.

Usually, you have a backlight failure, but it could also be a board failure. I'll show you how to diagnose and fix the problem.

Troubleshooting worked! I had a dark screen but could hear sound- I turned off my Tv, unplugged it, held down power buttons for 15 seconds, and let TV sit for about 10 minutes. Then I plugged the TV into a different outlet, turned it on using the TV power button (not remote power button), and it turned on no problem!

My 50" tv suddenly gets black screen, however I can barely see the shape of Netflix logo (what you call "faint" image), so I applied the turn-off and unpluge everything, and wait for 1 hour. I plug just the tv and it works fine again... Thanks a lot!!!

My TV 📺 had sound but black screen. MY POWER STRIP was partially unplugged even tho light was on. I unplugged 60 seconds and NOW TV WORKS 💪 AWESOME

Whats hilarious is I opened this video on my phone an the video feed was black an I was like "this dude trolling...?" An I closed an started the video again an it was just my phone 😅

Great job in showing taking components off carefully and reassuring to keep parts together. I am brave but when it starts to take off the 5th piece I lose confidence and get overwhelmed. I guess my anxiety, OCD and ADHD does not help lol.
I do get that faint screen on my JVC-Roku TV. I do get sound but no picture, just that faint screen if you look carefully. If I leave it on and wait like 10 minutes, turn it off and then back on it all works fine. If I turn it off and on it works fine. On mine it seems to work fine after a component has warmed up.

I just replaced the back lights on my LG 60um6900pua and works beautifully for a month, the picture went black and I ordered all the boards new and replaced them, and still a black screen. If I touch the screen softly from the front I see a white/blue light where I touch. I hear the voice of the commands like when you first got the tv and need to set it up. But not imagen.

What if i turn on my tv and 2 seconds later it has a little trigger where it turns back off? I turn on.. it blinks a few times then turns itself off

I have trouble with my tv. The T-Con Board only works half at at time. If the left ribbon is Seated, the left works, same for the right. Is this a tcon problem then?

Currently trying these. I had a tv run into this issue with led light turning on but tv unresponsive but sometimes it would eventually turn on after many tries. Ended up replacing it with the same model that we had in the house and had the exact same issue. Don’t know if its coincidence or something wrong with the power plug but I have tried different ports and other electronics work plugged in so idk 😩

My tv works fine after a little while it starts getting double images. Then a little bit after that it goes black. Sound still comes through.

I have an LG 55UH7700..screen went out completely one day with the standby light blinking 3 times then stops. After putting the tv in storage for 4months, I gave it another try. Standby led light gave me 3 blinks then the screen gave me random colors going from blue, green, red, white, then black. The screen eventually gave me a display. Tv worked for about 2 weeks then went out again. Opened the back panel to see if there were any blown capacitors or worn out cables. Nothing. As I had the tv plugged in, I attempted to adjust a cable connected to the t-con board and suddenly a small pop of fire appeared on the t-con board. I immediately unplugged the tv. After adjusting the cables, I plugged in the tv and same issue. No display, but has sound. Backlight also comes on. I ordered a main board off of ebay to see if that was the issue but still the same. I plugged in my xbox console to see if I would magically get a display but to no avail. However, I can hear the navigation sounds from the xbox menu. I can also see lighting move across the screen as I push the buttons on my xbox controller but no display. Sorry for the detailed explanation...

the trouble shooting works for me,
My Coocaa Google Tv suddenly turn black screen after a 4-6 mins but still has the sound, I try the flashlight test but i can't see any faint image,
I turn off the tv then unplugged press the off button fo around 20sec. then plugged it in other power input, turn on, watch yt videos and wait and it works fine now.
I think the old power input is weak thats why the screen of my tv is failing.

Hello, my samsung ue32t4307 has a blank screen but the backlights come on with sound. Because this tv is a smaller model it doesn’t have a sub t com board just the main board/power supply. So would it be the main board that’s the issue?

I’m going to see if this works. my TV can be turned on, but it has white lines going through the screen, and I can see the bottom of it, showing apps and stuff, it’s a Roku, so idk if this will work, but I'm going to try. I’m desperate for this thing to work
