Cinemotography: Gabriel Mann (Studio Red Nashville)

"Mockingbird" Lyrics:

Who was I before
I took it on the chin
Watching a little more
Of me blow away on the wind

I listened to the whispers
Bending out of shape
To fit into a picture
I didn’t even want to take

Like a mockingbird
Singing a thousands songs
That don’t belong to me
Just to see who’s listening
The song of a mockingbird
Hidden within my palm
The one that’s just for me
But if you listen closely
And get a little bit lucky
You just might hear my melody
My secret melody

I patchworked myself together
Strung a fence across the plains
Tried to tame it all for better
But some wilds you just can’t claim

If beauty’s in the eye
I’m gonna be mindful where I look
I wanna get a bird’s eye from the sky
Of every chance I took

Like a mockingbird
Singing a thousands songs
That don’t belong to me
Just to see who’s listening
The song of a mockingbird
Hidden within my palm
The one that’s just for me
But if you listen closely
And get a little bit lucky
You just might hear my melody
My secret melody

Naw it ain’t fancy, it ain’t especially fine
But it’s mine, I know that it’s mine

I’m a mockingbird
Singing a thousands songs
That don’t belong to me
Just to see who’s listening
The song of a mockingbird
Hidden within my palm
The one that’s just for me
But if you listen closely
And get a little bit lucky
‘Oh you just might hear my melody
My secret melody

It’s my melody
My secret melody

Amazing how these young ladies can keep putting out fresh but yet traditional southern/blues/rock music... keep it up. See you at the Ryman soon... and the KTBA

I just had the pleasure of a Larkin Poe concert. 750 people, I've got Bloom in the studio mixer. BLUES AND ROCK AND ROLL are in good hands. this new generation of musicians are from parents that played or had the presence to expose their kids to real music. Thanks to those parents!!!

Change is inevitable, in everything. Please keep your sound “about the music”, don’t let music labels make it “what sells”. Please don’t “sell out” and become “polished” like so many in music today.

Track after track after track.... I am yet to skip ANY Larkin Poe song. It's awesome every time. I'm now going to listen to Mockingbird on repeat for the remainder of the day. Thank you, ladies.

i love your sound and the lyrics! 💓

my Mum, who is in her 70s, introduced me to your music a few weeks ago. I was immediately hooked!
I am grateful to my parents for so many things, including the love of music, rock music in particular, that they showed me, especially my Mum!
music was and still is a form of communication between us and something that connects us
even if we don't always have the same taste in music or disagree on other things.
