Deeply touched on observing Kashmiriyat. I was posted in the Valley and fell in love with her and her people. Who are the genuine Kashmiris? They are Central Asian Aryans of whom many have now converted to Semitic-Islam a good religion like all others. Thus, the Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits are exactly the same people ethnically, culturally, linguistically, etc. The Sikhs of Kashmir are also loved in the Valley though they are non-Kashmiris and came from the Punjab and Jammu quite recently. They have maintained their identity and speak Punjabi and not Kashmiri. Since the ancient period like us Jat-Sikhs the Kashmiris have maintained their pure ethnicity and technically never marry outside. The few who have come from troubled families or are pseudo-westernized. Let Kashmir now prosper as the crown of Bharat and let us not interfere in the ethnicity, culture, values, etc. of the Kashmiris; they are genuinely wonderful people. Diversity is the strength of Bharat and not weakness.
