Why I HATE Smissmas (TF2)

Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve. It consists of nine classes, Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy, and two teams, Red and Blu. The teams try to take the others' objective, such as an intelligence brief case, or a control point.

Updates have been curated horribly in recent years, they just keep adding hats that aren't optimized that make the game run like sludge, ruin the art style, and obscure hitboxes. Maps that play horribly (and have terrible framerate themselves.)

But I do love a good bugfix. Some actual care (AND DEVELOPERS) need to be put on these updates or else the game rots slowly. This ain't the developer's fault btw, Valve is forcing them to work on other projects, we only get unpaid freetime from a few Valve employees who care.

Alright I really want cascade, bread space and altitude to stick around like pier did

The maps run fine for me, and I'm not even playing on some souped up PC. Altitude is the most fun I've had in this game in a while

the hats kind of suck this year but most of the maps are decent and effects and taunts are pretty good at least

The bug fixes were definitely a big deal to me, engineer and scout are two of my most played classes

The maps are kinda cool and these are what I think of them, Least Fav to Most Fav:

(Warning: These are just my opinions of the maps that I wanted to share)




Cascade is just a reskin, nothing particularly new there

Chilly being also a reskin of a Halloween Map makes no difference other than being the same map but with snow but still kinda cool

DoubleFrost is too a reskin but atleast they changed the intel as a present and they added ice in the sewer

Bread Space has a long sightlines and really tight choke points accompanied by click triggered mines, sometimes I like but hate it

Polar is good and bad sometimes, either you get to steamroll the enemy or you get stalled at the many choke points it has

And finally Altitude,
I really like this map because of the atmosphere and the designs of it, not many areas are too chokey and there are many flank routes to the 3 captured points and it feels fair for both teams

Bad cosmetics, meh maps (and a terror reskin bruh), no warpaints whatsoever, Wrap assassin still broken in some maps and more crap
