I like how the doctor is extremely respectful towards Ronny. He is not taking cheap shots, calling him dumb for overtraining, etc... Very nice!

The rumor about Ronnie is he only used a spotter in case the weights needed a break.

Ronnie Coleman is a legend, but his life so far is also a cautionary tale what you shouldn't do.
I am amazed and horrified at the same time what he endured during his workouts.

Ronnie Coleman is simultaneously a great inspiration and cautionary tale.

The only time I ever heard a chiropractor tell a patient that the course of treatment was completed was the day he found out that the patient's insurance limit had been reached.

I'm not a medic nor a content creator, but I just want to compliment this channel for the amount of shout outs whenever using other people's information/video footage, this is a level of honesty I have never seen before in any other channel!
What a great channel, I love it! Congrats on the good work Doc!

Remember, everyone bodybuilding is not about health and fitness, it’s extreme sports. Every famous bodybuilder has always said this.

I was going down Ronnie's road on a smaller scale. I was constantly working out through pain. One day, I decided to reduce my ego and go a totally different direction. I decide to put mobility and flexibility as a priority above raw strength. It made all the difference and changed my entire approach to fitness forever.

Listening to how he handled his injuries is excruciating.

I swear my own discs compress a little everytime I hear Ronnie respond to a diagnosis of his shattered spine with "I went to the chiropractor and then two weeks later squatted 600"

Man lifted some insane weight, but also took the screws out of his head and had to have them put in his back.

I'm an " old school" gym gal and competed as a BB for a few years.
I'm now 67 and I had a hip replacement and both of my rotator cuffs repaired.
I am full of arthritis as well.
I go to the gym 3 times weekly and of course I don't train heavy at all.
There are quite a few exercises that I can not do any longer.
Everyone tske care!
I'll have to talk to my son who is also a lifter.

I am impressed how patient you are with Ronnie. Honestly, I grew more and more frustrated towards him whenever he recalled the 100th incident of him getting injured and ignoring what his doctors said to him.

Oh my god he's 58. Only 58. I know he did what he loved with what seems like no regrets, but the thought of being so debilitated at that age is terrifying. My father is 61 and runs 10 miles between 4 and 7 times a week. I couldn't imagine him being permanently on crutches

I survived ego lifting in my 20’s trying to show up others in the gym. In my 40’s it’s all about maintenance now because at the end of the day no one cares about how much you lift. I really appreciate the effort these pros put on their bodies to show us what is possible, but the price you pay is high. 🏋🏽‍♀️

My God, Ronnie’s pain tolerance is unworldly. I feel so bad that he went through so much for the fitness community. Thanks for another awesome video Doctor Chris.

I feel like I need to go to the ER just hearing all of Ronnie's injuries.

As a fellow physician, thanks for taking the time to educate and inform the audience, being respectful takes you a long way, I will do my bit on my area once I get tenure. We need more educated people to speak up on relevant or topics of interest to the public, the alternative is to have people with no education on the subject, spreading misinformation as their opinions. This has incredibly negative effects on our society. Thank you Chris.

Is there a thing called second-hand pain? Ronnie talking about his injuries and then working out gave me exactly that...

Ronnie's back injuries are scarey. Would not want that for any competition. Can't believe he had some of those before his 8 titles. Genuinly impressed and in disbelief.
