I really look forward to seeing the build come together. For my sins, I was the one who persuaded Bob to recreate this board. I supplied him with a stripped down issue 7 PCB that was used to recreate this edition and a working micro to test against. Even got my name on the back of the board which I'm thrilled about! I have built 3 of these boards now. I can report that everything works flawlessly, including PiTubeDirect, BeebSCSI, MMFS, Econet, Gotek etc. One issue I did have though was the relay listed in the BOM although having the correct footprint, it doesn't have the correct pin out and I have yet to find one that does. So I had to use one from a non working original BBC motherboard. However if you have no intention to ever use tapes then it can safely be left off of the board. Good is a hell of a lot of soldering!!

Good luck with putting it all together! I remember ECONET from school. We used to send each other rude messages over it, usually something to do with "Inflatable Ingrid" as Red Dwarf was big at the time.
