There's one thing here I don't understand - WHY the tree was felled? OK, I know, "customer requested", but WHY he choose so? Spruce - OK, those are prone to get uprooted in stron winds, so better don't keep them anywhere near the house as they may wreak real havoc. But a pine? A solitary growing pine (thus not particularly tall) apparently healthy - and pines, having sturdy "pole-like" main root don't fall down like spruces when the wind blows them down, but typically just snap under the crown (at least according to my observations). What's more, their wood is kinda "noodley" (©August Hunicke) so the crown usually just hangs up there, on the trunk - or falls to the ground close to the tree (= small "damage area" radius).

Not enough lawn to mow? On a whim - or "just because"? Too lazy/ penny-pinching to het firewood elsewhere? Me no understand...

I think you should offer a service to help people, when they have not enough space and need a opinion where it should fall. Because after I was by a friend and he beg me to take down 4 trees near to the house, I searched for someone like you. What are you do when a tree must fall exactly the way you want? Is this equipment you use enough? Three of the four must fall to the opposite of the house but hanging to the direction to the house. I trust you and your experience. May I send you pictures? Because your tree falls exactly where you want it.
