Again, the screen remained brighter on the Pixel, so battery should not be considered. The temperature on the Pixel is higher because ITS STILL DOING ALL THE TASKS, so of course it will get hotter and use more battery! You're not acknowledging that. I also dont appreciate giving the iPhone 16 a pass for both youtube video pauses. You would have held it against any other phone. Be fair.

I don't think they intentionally slowed the 15 pro max down on IOS 18. I think IOS 18 just sucks right now, hopefully it gets better with updates.

This test demonstrated why synthetic benchmarks make no sense. Although the Google Pixel scored the lowest, in real-world use, it performed the best.

Apple improving the performance of their flagships while Samsung going backwards. The S23 Ultra did a way better job at these tests than the S24 Ultra.

I made the right choice by buying the 16 Pro Max instead of the S24 Ultra this year. And I'm very content with keeping the S23 Ultra as my current android flagship.

Oof, People keep saying benchmark matters, meanwhile, Samsung with a high benchmark keep getting too hot and gets a thermal warning despite numerous updates, while 15 pro max is not optimised on IOS18 yet does not perform as well as IOS17

so I would say Benchmark + software optimisation matters.
