What a great stack of books! And I am excited that you'll be doing this on Instagram instead of Twitter.

I am a history professor. Historical fiction can be a great way to learn.

I love all your book choices. I’d love to see a video of how you organize all your books if you ever get time to do that. I know you’re busy, so no worries if you can’t. I’m running out of space for books in my house!

I didnt know this was a thing but now I have TBRs for the month. 😅 We just finished reading Breaking Stalin's Nose because we stopped and looked at current events+ history. And A Thousand Sisters : The Heroic Airwomen of the Soviet Union in WW2
She also read The Cut Out Girl. It tied in more to the WW2 theme, but she enjoyed 2 out of 3 and I enjoyed 3 out of 3.
Jackie French's Pennies for Hitler is a follow up to Hitler's Daughter. Both deal with children's lives and struggles during WW2 both children end up emigrating from Germany to Australia. I havent read either to know how involved Australia is in the story or to vouch for accuracy of the books. Both won several awards if I remember right.

I'm currently reading a book by a lady you may know, Emily Cook.

When you said ‘bad ass Jewish women kicking nazi ass’ made me spit my tea out. So funny. Love your choices

If you haven’t read Gabriel Garcia Marquez or Mario Vargas Llosa, you must.

I’m So excited to start reading. For Oceania I’m reading Mrs Benson’s Beatle- might be a stretch but I was struggling to mind a book too on my shelf.

I have a hard time finding middle grade historical fiction books that have any main male characters. For some reason they seem to be mostly centered on girls and my son would like to read something with a boy in it for a change.
