There once was a story about good and evil that this 7 year old loved. It started with a space opera and it started a movement into space knights, lightsabers and comics. Then the owner not knowing what he was doing allowed writers to expand the universe but the owner got jealous because the expansion was so much better then the original stories. He became envious and decided to sell out to a company that had no understanding of the cult that was created. They decided to make it their own but don't understand that the magic can't be created by making movies. It was the lifeforce of generations of kids who fell in love with the original story and not the effects. They decided to change the story but don't get why the cult won't let go of the original story that they fell in love with. The gap grows because when they touch a heart string it is a success. When they give even a tiny part of the original it boooms. They decide to throw away 40 years of loyalty for an attempt to see if the new generations have the same love but the kids(most) don't because they didn't live the life. They didn't dream of being a skywalker. They can't afford to by the merch. Their parents didn't take them to watch the movies 5 times each. I wish Disney all the luck in the universe on the path they have chosen. I will keep my EU books and that is the SW I will remember. We part as friends. This fan gets the magic.
