I had to rewind the video a couple times to have it repeat in my mind about the equation for line of best fit. This was a very thorough video and good explanations!

This video was easy to understand and scatter plots in excel were explained very well. I like how scatter plots are visual, which makes it easier for me to see and understand the relationship between variables.

I like that scatterplot is simple to manipulate. I also like that it is clear to see a relationship between variables. I am glad that we can change the colors of the multi-variable scatterplot, it made it much easier to read.

I like scatter plots. I feel that they are a great way to look at different variables all at once.

Scatterplots were one thing I understood in Excel. I can see the big picture about them, and can see the skew once they are completed. I think that knowing this is one of the most basic concepts in statistics, and fortunately it is one I remember. It is really good at showing the relationship between the variables and showing correlations between the two.

Using scatter plots is a quick and easy way to see variable relationships and the predictability of a variable. I especially liked when adding in the trend lines that it showed the R² value.

This is a great way of mapping out actual results like this to be able to somewhat predict a relationship like GPA and test performance. Of course, in this case, between aptitude and knowledge tests, the ability to do so is rather different. The final exam relationship with the GPA is in the middle of those two. It is interesting to see the positive relationship between GPA and test scores and I can see how helpful this would be for an application like this. The addition of the random numbers was very helpful in demonstrating what no real relationship would look like.

I have been exposed to scatter plots since middle school. of course as I progressed in school, the concepts became more in depth, however the main concept stayed the same. scatter ploys show relationships between variable and whether or not it is a positive, negative, or no relationship. I understand this. so when I watched this video I was able to put this into perspective which was helpful.

Comparing multiple variables on one scatterplot is great, I like how we can change the color and patterns to keep the variables separate. It gets somewhat intense with if we add the relationship lines in too. Overall I like the option to look at everything we collect data on in one scatterplot.

I like being able to visualize relationships rather than read a lot of statics or words trying to explain the same thing. I like how Dr. Grande broke down the steps of creating a scatter plot and how to make it easier to read. I like being able to use the
R ^2 (R squared) to tell if the relationship is strong or not. I honestly do not understand how to tell if I am just looking at the plots themselves.

really believed it was helpful to see them all on one plot. I agree with Greg what is the threshold for coefficient of determination?
