In this Kurzgesagt video I saw a comment which I think is pretty good, now this isn't exactly how the comment was written but its meaning is still the same.
If this theory is correct, other civilizations would look at humanity and think one of two things; "They don't know how the universe functions yet" or "They must be powerful enough to annihilate any enemy"

"Why can't we just be friends"

Ask that same question to humanity and you'll get differing answers but usually same conclusion, "we just can't because [insert reason here]"

Now if we on the same planet, with languages and cultures not to dissimilar to each other cannot even be "friends" with everyone, do you really expect a completely alien race in pretty much everything in comparison to us will also get along with us?

I bet that if we found out about some kind of a civilization not so far away from us. Some people would start teaching them our culture and of course... memes. And so, not only will WE shitpost on our planet, THEY will also learn how to shitpost on their planet and in the best case scenario, we would shitpost and share our memes around the entire galaxy. Wouldnt it be amazing?
