If only it was that easy.
The Sonoff S26 smart plug is one of the most unreliable Sonoff devices I have (approximately 10 active devices)
On a good day, it might pair and work.
On a bad day, it won't do either.
WiFi signal is good, but even when it does pair, it soon loses connection and won't respond.
You can be within a few feet of the router and the phone and no device is detected.
On the other hand, the older S20 smart plug works fine.
It's stuff like this that makes me wary of investing much money in Sonoff devices.
To make matters worse, their "support" is poor and at best comes up with blindingly obvious answers like check power and internet connection.
Why these thing fail is a mystery to me.

I have a couple and work great.
Issue is that they won’t pair when router is combined 2.4 and 5ghz. You need to go into router and either turn off 5hz, or split the 5hz off to another ssid name. Do the pairing with welink. And put router back to normal. Pain. And only needs doing if new or changed router.
