Good Idea Scotty. I bought an air compressor for powering brad nailers for wood working. Then I bought an impact ratchet for automotive use and now I cant live without air tools. Just ordered a small hand ratchet for hard to reach bolts. Love your videos.

Dave is a professional mechanic. Just because he doesn't have the fancy tools that expensive shops have doesn't mean he is inept at fixing cars. He fixes cars for a living, among other things. Dave takes enough pride in his work to not only do the work but show OTHERS how to do it. That is highly commendable. Also, do you realize that automobile manufacturers don't always take account the ease of repairs? They make it hard so that you end up taking it to a dealership shop. It's called business.

I use an earthquake impact I got on sale from harbor freight tools for 79 bucks, and it's still working strong 4 years later using it every day.

it's my improved air filter. It's a chrome assembly I got at an auto zone off their shelves. It's for an old racing carb on an american car.

Scotty, you make me feel alot better about the state of my garage. Organized chaos, is the best kind of chaos.

Love your videos! I have a Campbell-Hausfeld compressor almost exactly like yours. Got it at Montgomery Ward back in the early ‘80’s and it still works great! I jumpered it to run on 240v (it only draws 7.5 amps @ 240v). That way, I can use it with my 10/3 240v extension cord without tripping the breaker. I’ve kept the oil fresh and just recently installed new reed valves and gaskets. Starts easy and runs smooth & quiet. It’ll probably outlive me!

Good video Scotty! I bought my air compressor at Sears, bought the display model 26 gal. 120V 150psi oil free and they through in a 3/8 ratchet and hose with some other trinkets, I also bought the 1/2" impact at the same time. Just think of quarters you save filling your tires at home! lol

lol i love this guy. im 22 and i agree with you completely on how complicated these cars are getting. my first vehicle was and still is a 1990 jeep cherokee. this thing is super basic and to the point. even at my young age i dont know what people get out of all those gadgets in their car.just get in and drive! lol

I got that at auto zone cause it came with a cheap foam filter. It's just an air filter for an old souped up carburetor, they had it on the shelf. Fit perfectly with a little elbow grease.,
