blame climate change so the government doesn't have to take accountability

In Japan, they have this Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel (首都圏外郭放水路), please think ahead.

The city should stop blaming the flooding on climate change. We all know that the city of Toronto is the biggest slum landlord in the country. They have also ignored the infrastructure for decades choosing instead to spend money on things like renaming Dundas square. Property taxes are collected for infrastructure and service.
In 2013 when the city flooded and the officials were made aware
of the amount of infrastructure repair that was needed to prevent this in the future, did they do anything??
I understand that we had a tremendous amount of rain falling in a short period but why did the recently renovated, way over the budget Union Station flood as much as it did why did they not ensure the infrastructure was able to handle storms.

We had Torrential rain fall all over Ontario. Difference between here and there I'm assuming is a lack of drainage or clogged drains. Betting is open.

The storm drain system isn't maintained.

Not understanding why the city's infrastructure is so poor this in not acceptable and should not be tolerated. I mean where are the taxes going? What a joke...

You better raise taxes, it will stop it from raining.

The elephant in the room here that we see as private residents is there's too much infrastructure on the lake and around the lake.

I remember this happening back in the 80's. It was at least 2 feet deep under the gardner expressway and the Don Valley.

I guess i didn't pay enough Carbon Tax!
Luckily there was no Rain Tax... so many Torontonians would be poor today.

I didn’t see any police helping with the traffic. They may have union rules.

Imagine the headlines if instead of Chow, Toronto had a slightly conservative mayor? "ILL PREPARED TORONTO DEVASTATED BY GARDEN VARIETY SUMMER STORM - MAYOR DUMBFOUNDED". Lol.
