Excellent lesson. Makes me want to go play this in the park with a bottle of sangria. And to buy a classical guitar. Will have to make do with my acoustic though.

Great tuition method compared with a good few other guitar song vids I've watched.
I've been playing since 12'ish yr's old, very on & off depending on living status, but now normally manage to get, say most of Lou Reed's song's basic chord structures on 1 or 2 hearings if i'm keeping their chord's structure in mind, it seems easier while being very familiar with Lou's stuff anyway, (i.e. that which I've heard, on 7'ish solo-named L.P.s post-V. Undergound stuff I've had for 3 or 4 decades now, but this song, geez, i never tried to get it by hearing it alone before & without this video, I know i would have failed to find the nuances & have found it "nowhere near as easy" as many others ...now I think it's nearly like 2 or 3 song's chord structures but neatly melded into one great song, in a way, i respect it more for its own worth now & it's wide open for augmentation if 'one' wants to make it "their own" version or an accurate transcription, I suppose when we add notes done on the piano, we 'transcribe to some degree or another but it's essential to capture the true essence of any song played with more than 1 instrument. (Surely not?? this song is future "classical music" like, say J.S. Bach is to many now (inc' me & btw, i love André Segovia's guitar transcriptions of J.S.B's 6 Cello sonatas, I'm nearly almost getting part of one & often can't help sliding back into it, it's a temporary thing that happens now & then) I must have watched this vid 8 or 10 times recently while I've been "without guitar" while away from home until today, to actually play along with my guitar, I thought I had it all mentally noted down & would flow into playing it without needing to watch it again, wrong! i just could not get the C'sharp minor to fit, then finally, I just replayed the vid with guitar & Dumbo here noticed the number 4 on the left of the fretboard! ..I was bunging in something different that sort of worked but lost the whole 'mood' of the line. I don't like the sound of my small "travel guitar" never play it, but I'll keep it in my car from now on, hotels don't supply them ..if you can believe that!

Just a perfect day
Drink sangria in the park
And then later, when it gets dark
We go home
Just a perfect day
Feed animals in the zoo
Then later a movie, too
And then home
Oh, it's such a perfect day
I'm glad I spent it with you
Oh, such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on
Just a perfect day
Problems all left alone
Weekenders on our own
It's such fun
Just a perfect day
You made me forget myself
I thought I was someone else
Someone good
Oh, it's such a perfect day
I'm glad I spent it with you
Oh, such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on
You're going to reap just what you sow
You're going to reap just what you sow
You're going to reap just what you sow
You're going to reap just what you sow

Thanks for that, and including the nuances and melody, I have wanted to learn this song for a long time. BTW, is that a scouse accent I hear?
