I found my percolator in my garbage room of my apartment building and thought it was broken so when I got it home and cleaned it out it worked like a Charm! I love my electric perculator! I swear by it. I love trying different roast's of coffee! You Should Try Utica Coffee Roasters they have excellent Coffee! and their coffee taste's really good! Highly Recommend.

Thanks for the video, I found one of my old pots and forgot how long to perk the coffee for. An old trick I've always used in perking is to add a small sprinkling of table salt on top of the coffee grounds before putting it on the stove. It helps to take away any bitterness of the coffee.

A few coffee grounds that end up in your cup is the dessert of coffee making.  They are good to chew on.

I use a "Mocha Pot". It's kind of like an inverted peculator, the water goes in the bottom and is pushed up by steam pressure through the coffee basket and collects in the top. If the weather isn't so good it goes on the gas ring. If it's sunny I put it on a special mini element I made from an old electric jug. Or if the coal range is going I can do it there. It's the three way coffee pot! lol

We use a percolater every day. Gave up on the money eating electric coffee pots. I prefer the old school percolated coffee.

Actually holds around 34 ounces of water, with basket in. I have one, I use two bottles of water, that is very close to the full mark, with basket in. Not many coffee makers use standard 8 ounce cups.
