Why do people keep glossing over, or not even mentioning at all, the upgrades Samsung made to the RAM and storage? The S23 Ultra is now using LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Those are major upgrades and actually make a difference in real world usage. People just want to keep saying that this is the same phone as the S22 Ultra, but it's really not.

I've had mine a few days. It absolutely smashes my iPhone 14 Pro max in battery, performance, smoothness, cameras video. This review doesn't give this phone anywhere near as much praise as it deserves. CNET are well known for apple bias. Trust me the iPhone 14 Pro max doesn't beat the s23 ultra in anything.

Honestly didn't realise the review was captured on the phone itself which was surprisingly awesome, if you didn't mention it, I would've taken it as recorded from a professional camcorder. Great one

A good review however, I am quite surprised you didn't make a big deal about the battery life, I am currently using the s23 ultra and the battery life is unbelievable, I can't believe it is coming from a Samsung device . Going into this review I was expecting you to highlight the battery life with more enthusiasm.

Also, S23 Ultra does have reverse wireless charging, the iPhone does not. Not to mention the S-pen feature that the others do not have. The cameras of all phone tests and usage are also based on what settings you are using as far as picture quality or video is concerned. I've seen multiple reviews on the S-23 Ultra and most have different opinions on the quality or speed of overall performance and camera quality. The charging speed at 45 watts is still pretty awesome in my opinion. Not sure why people expect phones to fast charge from 0-100 in like 20 seconds. Lol. Now as far as battery life, it's a lot closer to hanging with the iPhone 14 pro max (closer than it's ever been). Also, the battery tests that most everyone is doing, is not an example of a person's daily usage. No average human being is really going to use nor keep their screen on and surfing the web or playing games for 8-12 hours STRAIGHT with no break. So, all in all, the S23 Ultra is a true beast and best phone all around. Not taking anything away from the iPhone or Pixel, but the S-pen, Samsung DEX and reverse wireless charging (not to be confused with basic Qi wireless charging) are just some features that the iPhone or Pixel 7 Pro Max (Pixel 7 Pro Max does have reverse wireless charging out of the 3 features mentioned) just can't compete with this time around. So, OVERALL, the S23 Ultra is the phone to get in my opinion. About to upgrade from a S21 Ultra to the S23 Ultra!!. Can't wait!!. Awesome review as always none the less, CNET. The fact this video was filmed on the s23 ultra speaks volumes. Same when Samsung defiled their events with it. They put their money where their mouth is. Difference between looks of photos is subjective. But reliability, steady shot for video and quality results is how I will be judging when mine arrives next week. Thanks for the review

All i could see in this review is for the camera. All the other things like small benchmark tests, battery, and the dex mode is shortened in just 20% of the whole video.
Basically a camera upgrade is all i could see. They should note that not everyone viewing this is a photographer or a video editor, there are other fields as well!

Going from the S20 Ultra to the S23 Ultra is an awesome experience. I can't say enough great things about it. One thing I did notice that will take some getting used to is how it feels to hold it. It's not bad, just different.

I just pre-ordered my s23 ultra for Friday pickup coming from an S20+. The camera on my s20 is amazing so I can only imagine how many nice upgrades there will be.

This phone is what the s22u should have been. The only somewhat downside to this phone for me is the lack of super fast charging but with a battery like this it doesn't matter. I'm getting easy 1.5 days worth of battery.

Samsung also gives much additional software like writing on PDF and most Samsung made apps, DeX, Quick Share. Other phones doesn't offer such software. Maybe Samsugn should highlight this more
