Caliper vs Tape meter: Body length #shorts

To obtain accurate measurements in bowed instruments it is necessary to use a caliper, since if a flexible meter were used the presence of more or less high archings would make the measurement unreliable compared to the actual linear one. Using a plastic caliper instead of a metal one is important to avoid damaging the wood and varnish, and allows you to modify a normal decimal caliper in a simple and cheap way.
