MetalZone vs. G3! Can a 30 yr old pedal hang with a modern pedal?

Both good, the G3 has more mids, the MetalZone a little more sizzle in the top end but probably it's possible to EQ these 2 to get similar results.
I have the G3 and i really enjoy it but i'm thinking about getting the Waza Craft Metal Zone just to have something different aswell. I'd probably get the Waza Craft instead of the old version because the new Custom mode on the Waza Craft Metal Zone is apparently pretty good, many prefer it over the normal mode. And the price is not too crazy, even with Waza much cheaper than the G3.

I bought a MT-2 when they first came out to replace a weak HM-2. Who would know the world would go mental and pay what they do for the HM-2 lol. Anyways, I build pedals and just recently finished a REVV G3 as well as a AmpTweaker Tight Metal. I would just say the Tight Metal can be made to sound closer to a MT-2 than the REVV G3 can. Except the MT-2 can be had for $50. :)))

thanks andy nice one, im looking for that kinda chewy dark high gain got the waza met zone, good pedal, im leaning more toward a revv g20 or a hughes and kett 40 though now been chasing that 10 percent for years trying to get near the bog uberschall on a buget, the g3 in to a tube power amp may do the trick :)

I prefer revv 3, I have both, but after getting revv 4 I retired the old boss.

I would say boss because of its prominence towards the metal Era like Metallica and pantera!it has a dark and evil look to it with the black and orange.plus back in the early 90s technology had to be a better quality standard than some of the shit you get today!
