Nice video, we need more videos like that about the history and origins of JuJutsu/Judo/BJJ and how they relate to each other. This academic approach is overlooked for the mostly practitioners.

Saudações do Brasil !!!

I think you guys hit on a lot of things here That don't get touched on in a lot of different martial art circles as much as they should be, And while I most certainly agree That there has been a lot of exchange between these different parts of the world, They weren't isolated from each other and they certainly interacted with each other, And I'm sure they exchanged all kinds of knowledge especially on martial arts and fighting, but the idea that these techniques all come from just china or india, and that their entire development simply comes from outside influence, and that they didn't or couldn't have developed any of these techniques & concepts they use on their own, is ludicrous

That is correct. Pre-history, people learn fighting by watching animals.

That's why Chinese martial arts are named after animals.

Whether true or not, Bodhidharma the 'blue eyed demon from the West' a Persian Prince, the first patriarch of Ch'an / Zen allegedly taught the Shaolin grappling from Persia.

BJJ is not Jujutsu. It's Ground grappling wrestling. Should be called Brazilian grappling. OSS.

one more of the countless and gigantic lies of the Gracie clan. BJJ is a PURE copy of Judo, and they blatantly lied stating that Japanese jûjutsu comes from India (which has NOTHING to do with what Brazil received through Maeda and others because it was Judo and nothing more than that).
