I went FISH SHOPPING for My FRESHWATER Tank!

In todays video I went to one of my favorite local pond stores that also has a fish store for freshwater species in the back of it! We ended up finding just the fish we needed for some more motion in the 125 gallon planted community fish tank!🐟🌱😮

Consider changing the lights on the freshwater tank to something more appropriate for a planted tank. Lookin at the plants I think your spectrum is off and not enough PAR. I love the Kessil a360x Tuna Sun for planted tanks! If you are gonna start CO2-injection be sure to have a pH-probe connected to it, CO2 can very easily kill all your fish if over-dosed in the aquarium! I would also suggest you start dosing fertilizer and do 50 % waterchange once weekly at least. A group of siamese algae eaters and some bristlenes plecos if you don't already have them, will also clean up that algae in no time! I woul have suggested amano shrimps and snails as well but you got loaches and big angelfish so they will just get eaten. Enoy planted tanks!

If you have to start culling the cichlids you can throw some in the Amazon tank and maybe you might get an established colony for food.

You need to put some of the coral in the shark pond as well on that awesome structure.

PURIGEN in the filter will clear those Tannins up! I had the same issue in my 125 cichlid tank when I added a lot of wood to it. PURIGEN made that water crystal clear and it still looks great months later!

You know what would be so cool. Getting some kind of underwater sub toy with a go pro to see the fish up close with a voice over. Just to see them in the ponds. But man you have come so far and done so much and I have watched you for years grow up on you tube and It has been a joy to see the man you have become. 😊

I'd love to see how these videos and projects are budgeted. You are definitely one of my biggest influences and I'd like to see how I would go about getting and keeping as much animals as you. I would love to see the financial side of things and know how much it would typically cost for each animal you typically own. I'm 15 and would live to try to do something like you one day.

Hi Paul,
If you want to get rid of the tanin color put activated carbon in a filter canister (big or small inside the aquarium and it will make your water clear ( might need to repeat and exchange the carbon a couple of times depending on on the amount of tanin you have)
