Air Powered Model Paper Rocket Launched with a BBC Microbit

Показать описание
This is a rebuild of the Raspberry Pi Model Paper Rocket in a previous video.
A BBC Microbit is programmed as the countdown launcher for paper rockets. It utilises air compressed with a bicycle pump into a Coca Cola bottle. The valves in the bottle car car tyre valves from a local garage. The Microbit triggers a SN755410 motor driver chip to open a water sprinkler valve which lets the compressed air push the rocket up a piece of PVC water pipe, launching the model paper rocket.
The model rockets are formed by rolling A4 paper around a spare piece of tube and gluing a paper cone on the top.
This is safe enough to launch indoors at lower pressure levels. This was set up to see how far the rockets could go.
