I appreciate the video and especially the comments. What was described in the comments is EXACTLY what happened to me. Removing the bulb is the most challenging part of the process. The bulb will end up breaking. The bulb contains mercury resulting in an unsafe, environmental and personal hazard. I just replaced the bulb and I put some dielectric grease on each bulb pin and the rubber seal hoping that next year when I change the bulb, it actually comes out easily and with out bulb breakage. Or else I will again need to break up the connector base and remove each pin like a dentist removing the 4 roots of a broken molar.

One last item, the bayonet fitting only accepts the base one way. One tab is larger than the other so observe where the wire is when you remove the bub and line up the wire in the same orientation.

When you make a video to educate customers, you need to make actual demo for the replacement of the lamp, including to remove the old lamp, insert the new lamp.
No matter how simple you think it is, you need to demonstrate it in the video. So I can see how you pop it out and put back in.

The video does not show the removal of the bulb from the fixture, which is why I came looking. My attempt to remove the bulb resulted in the glass tube breaking. I pried the two clips apart with my fingers, but the base of the bulb does not simply eject from the fixture. I next attempted to pull the base of the (now) broken bulb from the fixture with a pair of needle nose pliers only to have the part I was gripping crumble. It would have been more helpful if the video actually demonstrated the removal of the bulb from the fixture. I am left wondering if there is some step I have missed or is my bulb simply stuck?

Please add instructions on removing the bulb. It is the difficult step. There are tabs that need to be held open. The old bulb requires a lot of force to remove.

Can the light be mounted magnetically? It looks like the base has magnets on it but nowhere that I looks specifically says yes or no. We live in a rental and don’t want to cut holes in the air handler.

I've been told that the NIH rating requires a minimum of a 36 watt bulb to be comments? Does the Honeywell this meet that NIH requirement?
