Do you know how to identify 1967-1972 Chevy / GMC Truck Grilles? If not, I am glad you are here. GM offered at least 10 grilles for these trucks over this 6 year body style. In this video, I will show you how to ID each of the grilles by year and make. If you are going for a year specific build, you need to ensure you buy the right grille for your truck. Buying used can save you a lot of money, but make sure you buy the right one!

My favorite grille is, of course, the 1969 grille...the very one that I've owned for over 25 years & has been in my family since brand new...

Thank you for showing the grill supports! I've been looking on youtube for the past hour trying to find a video that showed the 67 grill support and how it mounts. I eventually gave up and clicked this video because it looked interesting and I was rewarded with the end of my quest xD

69-70 grill is my favorite. my dad had a 69 k10 when I was growing up and it's just always stood out to me as the best looking of the 3 main designs.

1969 GMC for me.
My pop bought it new. I’m the caretaker of it now. I’m in the process of freshening it up to enjoy driving it until my time is finished.

I have the 69 with the billet grill for a while and temporary swapped it with the original grill but I kinda like the billet better so I might swap it back out soon . 1969 c20 with the 292 and standard transmission.

Its really personal preference on the grills, I personally like them all, but my choice is 67, 68 ! Have a 68 short, fleet now ! 👍

Grill is always a personal preference. There is no right or wrong, only what you yourself like. To me, the egg crate grills modernize the trucks too much towards the subsequent square bodies. I prefer the 67-68 and 69-70 grills.

67-68 is definitely my favorite...but what you may or may not know is that on the plain Jane trucks that had white painted headlight doors and grille opening moundings the parts were steel whereas the bright "chrome" trim parts were anodized aluminum. you don't see many trucks with white trim these days.

I like the 69 grill. But then my first pickup was a 1969 Chevy 4x4 3/4 ton.

The GMC grills, at least in 1967 had an optional painted grill either white or painted to match the truck.
