I already knew some plastics were used more than others, but I did not know plastic grocery bags were among the rarely recycled ones. All the more reason to use those reusable grocery bags I suppose. Good info.

This video is 7 years old. So #1 plastic is basically single use plastic, and you are telling its ok to use. Meanwhile in India we are told single use plastic is bad. Please elaborate and support your answer(from the video).

What do you suggest we do with the recyclables that are less likely to be "recycled"? Continue to stick them in the blue bins, or is there someplace better to send them?

Which, if it wasn't for the volitile organic compounds the compustion process makes, would be one of the best uses for discarded plastic. DAMN YOU CHEMISTRY!
