“While I’m dressed like this…”. That’s a fabulous outfit! That vest is amazing! Well done!

Streamline modern gets so much attention because it has lasted into our day, the original Aztecan and Egyptian Art Deco styles need more love!

I really wish they would make these ornate buildings today. I understand that now everything is so profit-driven and they don't want to waste money on putting elaborate embellishments on buildings that would also require a lot of effort come repair time...and plus styles change...But would love to see more Art Deco-inspired buildings! I know there are a few modern buildings inspired by the style

This now makes so much more sense when a couple in a home makeover show wanted both the titanic and Egypt!

I live in an ocean liner building! I LOVE it. I wish I had the apartment with the beautifully curving windows! But I’m middeck lol

Sure the ceiling tiles are probably asbestos, but the tile work on the floor is phenomenal.

I love this reform of gender- just styles/vibes for inanimate objects of personalities. Like, my gender is tired and depressed.

I love art deco. The glamour of that era is unmatched andband sad very few people seem to care about or know about art deco these days. I live in Helsinki where there are some fine examples of art deco, I noticed one building, a hotel that is actually close to the harbour and looks like. A cruise ship from far off, intentionally but I never noticed until now that that is a commmon theme in art deco buildings. I know about the Egyptian inspiration of the art deco era but ocean liner I hadn't noticed. Thanks for sharing.

I love the Ocean liner Art Deco. I fell for it watching Poirot. His original apt bldg was art deco.

I've never thought about describing them this way, excellent point!

Wasn't the 'ocean liner' architecture called 'Streamline'? I always thought it came after Art Deco. Art Deco called for straight lines, with suggestions of Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt. Very 1920s. Streamline came later (not that Deco disappeared, they co-existed) and involved those sleek curvy shapes.

I'm an urban planner who has to spend a decent amount of time describing achitectural detail. This is hilarious haha XD wish I could use this in a report lol

I love Art Deco but I had no idea. Seems obvious now you point it out. Thank you.

In Argentina we have Rationalism which is something difficult to distinguish from art deco, but it's the most popular style and the begining of modern architecture, although still classy and monumental (check Gran Rex theatre, for example).
