In this video - cello arrangement of Changes of Position and Preparatory Scale Studies, Op.8 by Otakar Ševčík I play the exercises 1, 2 and 3 one note per bow (detache).
Otakar Ševčík's violin studies and violin methods were published in several books and are still important as major teaching tools. Many works of Sevcik are arranged for cello and used by cello teachers as useful material to work with cello students on left and right hand position, intonation, shifts, string crossings, sound quality and many other aspects of good cello technique.
