Double bounces in each bow direction work best below the balance point rather than the middle (M.). Again, loop just the first two beats to find the perfect spot for your bow, at a specific tempo.
Remember if you need more bounce/spring in your spiccato, experiment with slightly less bow angle/flatter hair to the string.
