I don't use Opera but I do recognize when a video is great. Clean, simple and directly aiming to the prominent features of the browser. Congratulations!

Me and my dad we were using Opera up to version 12 and we loved it. When he recently bought a new computer and asked me to install his beloved browser I downloaded the latest version, not thinking that would turn out to be a mistake. We learned a tough lesson there...

не знаю, как парни из норвегии, а я и раньше мог загуглить, куда отправиться путешествовать. а функция общения в фейсбуке - ну просто конкурентное преимущество, другие же браузеры так не умеют, можно и в рекламном ролике показать.

Why the fuck would 2 Norwegians be chatting in English on facebook about going to a place in Norway?

Notes and Bookmarks?  Gone.  Opera was always a distinctive, original browser.  Now it's just a run-of-the-mill, featureless clone of all the others.  So glad I kept the Opera 12 installer.

Please note: Presto is just the background engine running the rendering and hardware acceleration.

What users wanted (and still want) is the features, UI customizability, synchronization, and so forth. That doesn't have much to do with the rendering engine in the background, but the GUI (Graphical User Interface( in the front-end, and some other front-end stuff.

Presto is Back-End. If affects developers more than the average user who doesn't do web coding. Front-End is the issue.

Opera 15.* is the best ever. The experience is great! The speed is stunning! 100% loving it!

Thanks for the hard work. Opera 16 is great. Don't let the negative talk discourage you. Just keep the features coming... especially bookmarks. That is the over-riding concern right now. Whereas Opera (classic) was feature-laden, many of those features were never used by the average user and in truth, most would not miss them. BUT bookmarks is definitely another story. Anyway... love the speed and compatibility of this new browser. It looks clean, simple and modern.

Opera 12 was a highly flexible, elegant, and customisable browser with a lot of clever features to speed up browsing.

This Chrome/Opera hybrid is dumbed down, inflexible, and a sad case of style over substance.

Firefox, with some select extensions, is a much better browser these days. Not because it has really improved, but because Opera have thrown away the things that made their browser worth using.

Why is everybody hating on Opera? I've used Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Maxthon, and IE 10. All of them are good in their own uniqueness, and I'm a heavy internet user and I can say that I really like this new Opera regardless of what anyone is saying. And yes, I have used previews Operas and this one is by far the best even if they think is a Chrome rip off. Remember there are other browsers out there so go ahead and change and leave us few to enjoy this new Opera alone.

Super like. At least they come with new idea of browsing...others are just copying each other...

Bookmarks can be added as a feature of Opera 15. As I've said, this is the awkward phase. The feature can be added.

Think of the new Speed Dial screen. You have Stash, Discover and Speed Dial. Why couldn't they add a Bookmarks area in there too?

Integrated mail isn't needed. Why open your browser when you just want mail? Also, isn't it faster to just go to the Windows Start Bar and click an application to go to Mail, instead of clicking the browser, and entering the Mail area?

Just to I don't care which browser core you use BUT you still have to include all of the functions such as tab groups, bookmarks (not download separately), notes, mail client integrated, opera link, tab page preview and so on.

Hey Opera. First I wanna say kudos for being one of the great & independend alternatives. I know you've been around for a long time (even though I never really tried you). Although probably I'm not your typical mainstream user, I gotta say, I'm not really appealed to using Opera seeing this video. Starting the browser or opening a new tab should show about:blank.  Also, I do not want to see anything even remotely related to Facebook or Google. Besides that, any 'Related' or 'Discover'-like function is just bloat to me. Would be nice if you made a video for users like me who just want a fast, privacy conscious browser without much gimmicks and explain why Opera should be my choice and stands out between all other browsers.
FYI, my browser history: Netscape, IE, FF, Chrome, SRWare Iron, FF

I love the new Opera, never mind there r some things i miss so badly, like rss feed or the notes... but its runs and runs and runs so fast. :3

I didn't use Opera because it was slower and it didn't have many useful extensions. But now that it is as fast as Chrome and it has lots of extensions, I'm switching to it because it doesn't track my online activities like chrome does.

I'm sorry that long time Opera users don't like new Opera, I'm sure though that many Chrome users will love it.

Well, because using WebKit (Blink) the RAM consumption of Mail would be added to every tab you opened. Which would make Opera even more RAM hungry. Which is bad for low-end systems like mine.

Also, you've got to remember that standalone programs can run better. This way, if Opera freezes, your mail doesn't crash. And if you mail crashes, Opera doesn't.

customized speed dial, tabs as thumbnails, password manager - things why i stick to the old Opera.
