This will always be burned in my head. Forever. It’s emotional because of how many die hard fans over the last half century+never saw one and left without seeing one. That trophy is an urn with all those souls inside. My grandfather never saw a SB and passed. The Super Bowl t shirt hangs by his picture.

57 years of tears --- let it all flow out and allow that bitterness and disappointment to fly away like an eagle !!

My grandfather passed away the day of the parade but he got to see the team that he followed for as long as he could remember win the Super Bowl and despite being a Giants fan I have never been as happy as I am for another team. Part of my family cheers for New York while the other part cheers for Philadelphia. This was a victory for my family and my grandfather hung on just long enough to see them win and that transcends sports. I know there are fans out there that would consider this statement to be sacriligious somewhat but I don't care lol I know what this meant to my grandfather and others in my family and he was on the field because he snuck on and posed as a member of the press when the eagles won the championship back in the sixties that's how devoted he was to this team. He grew up in South Philly and this was more than just a championship win for him it represented where he came from and the city that molded him into the generous and loving man that I knew.

I was always ready to be this man. Been a fan since I was 10yrs old. Always wondering if I would be 40yrs old + when Eagles finally win a Super Bowl. Happy for him and all the Eagles fans #FlyEaglesFly

Over a year late to the party, I couldn't be happier for this gentleman. My father and I have been lifelong Eagles fans, and unfortunately my dad died, 4 months before the first super bowl against the patriots. Seeing this come to be, 2 years ago, is something I wish he could've seen. Regardless, This guy is awesome and I am so happy for him. Being a Philadelphia sports fan is something completely different than most cities, it's a life full of sadness, so when the joy comes, it's incredible.
