Race shift can be done on most bikes, just remove the pinch bracket from the input shaft turn 180 degrees and replace.

EDIT. If anyone is not sure of the explanation check out Stone Automotives channel. ZXR 400RR, the bike is on the lift. The gear change is set up for 1 down 5 up. Undo the pinch bolt on the gear selector that is on the gearbox input shaft, remove, turn 180 degree's and replace back on to the input shaft re-tighten pinch bolt, adjust gear lever to your liking, 1up 5down.

Classic ducati is actually the shift lever just falling off by itself and saving you the trouble of undoing it yourself.

I for a second thought you have a Cagiva Mito too got mine from my dad he used it while he was working during the 1997 and used it till 2005 he hid it after he got a 4 wheels and just 5 years ago i hit 17 got my student licence he fixed the motor and had it repainted its so cool to have a low cc bike with 7 speed i still got it but i also bought a Z1000 but its not as fun so for long rides it the Z then for daily its my mito with modified exhaust i actually made it quieter 😅
