NY Knicks Training Camp Rumors: Start Miles McBride or Josh Hart?

New York Knicks rumors coming out of Knicks training camp focuses on the impact the Karl Anthony Towns trade has on the rest of the roster. Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and KAT are all locks to start but who fills in at the last spot. Initially the thought was it was going to be Josh Hart but there has been some speculation that it could actually be Miles McBride. Bothe Deuce McBride and Hart bring pros to the lineup but does strengthening the bench mean more here. Tom Thibodeau will have a difficult decision to make. I would start Josh over Deuce because we need rebounding in the worst way, plus I like Deuce off the bench for instant offense. I think Towns will get back to averaging double digit rebounds at the center position under Thibs... but after that, who??? Honestly, I say start Precious Achiuwa at the PF spot and really bolster our bench with Hart, McBride, Mitch, Payne, and Kolek!

PG - Brunson / Payne / Kolek
SG - Bridges / McBride
SF - Anunoby / Hart
PF - Achiuwa / Towns (when Mitch comes in for Achiuwa)
C - Towns / Mitch

Of course Mitch is out, so I'd start Hart until Mitch is back.

Achuia at power forward
Og at small forward
Bridges at shooting guard
Brunson at point guard

Putting Og at power forward is not a good idea because he's injury prone. Banging wit then power forward is not good for him. It's gonna wear him down

Forget about “5 out.” Precious gives you rim protection, rebounds, and toughness from the 4. Hart in the second unit as the 4 (with Sims at the 5) lends his rebounding the shooting of Sham (3), Deuce (2), and Payne (1).

Only want 2 starting if it means Kolek is running the bench offense and setting those guys up to score. Josh helps him more with precious off bench

You’re 100% correct MG. Hart gives the other Team someone to double off of. You put Duece in and you have 5 shooters which allows a lot of one on one. Hart adds needed strength to the bench.

Josh Hart 3. Let’s not underestimate Deuce off the bench. Last playoffs, he was a spark plug off the bench and made immediate impact in his time in the game

I agree with the commentator. The last 5 to 7 minutes I want Hart on the court. His game skills and versatility usually give the Knicks an edge.

It doesn’t make sense, the SG should be Bridges and Deuxe his backup. Hart is Forward, not Guard. The starters mush be Brunson, Bridges, OG, Hart and KAT.

Hart. The starters are the best players. Hart is extremely better because of all he does on Court. Deuce isn't as impactful yet

3 Hart even though Deuce is a heck of a defender he is short and was posted up and with Brunson it gives us a small back court and Bridges should be the SG with Hart at SF
