You absolutely nailed this take Mike! I'm about as unbiased as you can be with these two teams, and I think it makes absolute sense for both. I said it last year when Reid played the Mavs... he can easily start. If I'm the Wolves, I'm totally ok getting out of KAT's 50mil a year contract, getting something of value in return, and letting Naz Reid step up. On the other hand, the Knicks had to get a center, and I think they got the only good one available. Brunson & KAT on offense. Bridges & OG on defense. The Knicks are looking strong strong on paper.

As a timberwolves fan I think this trade was needed, forget the new cba but Kat turns into a role player in the playoffs when we need him to be a star not only did we get a 20 and 10 guy in Randal but added to an already deep team in Dante.

IMO it's an A+ trade for Wolves and A- trade for Knicks. Wolves just got 2 really good players and a propable high draft pick from Pistons, so they are the winners in this trade.

KAT just did not mesh well with Ant’s style. When KAT fouls out for the 15th time Knicks fans will know. He’s a good shooter, but is inconsistent and has lapses in judgement. Maybe he’ll get the calls he’s been wanting in NY.
