Today's video I cover a NEW UPDATE on my investing strategy. Today, I cover how I have invested every day for over 525 days now, into Vanguard's S&P 500 ETF - VOO.
This is one of the, if not THE, most popular exchange traded funds in existence.
In fact, VOO is almost $1 trillion in asset size, WOW.
What exactly is an exchange traded fund or ETF? It is essentially a basket of stocks that track an index of sort.
This ETF in particular tracks the TOP 500 US companies or what we call... the S&P 500 index.
Therefore, one usually buys this ETF as it is very difficult to outperform the S&P 500 every single year. This reduces your risk by diversifying away from picking individual stocks and at an extremely low cost.
During this economy turmoil due to inflation and high interest rates, I wanted to buy the top 500 companies, or a basket of stocks, without emotion, automatically.
That's when I really started using my SoFi investing app and set up the schedule to acquire $50 and then/now $60 per day into Vanguard's $VOO.
I began this journey on April 11, 2022 - TWO YEARS AGO!
Fast forward 525 days later of consistently and consecutively doing that... I couldn't be more happier that I did!
Check out the video and see what my investment looks like, the passive income I have earned/received already and what I plan to do with my Vanguard investing here on out.
You'll also find out if I am beating the S&P 500. You'll also find out if I have hit $50,000... what would be next... $100,000... $1,000,000? Who wants one million dollars invested?! You know I do.
Do you buy an ETF automatically? Are you buying a stock or other asset on a routine basis, taking the emotion out of investing? What is your favorite investment and would you buy it every day if you could?
Thanks for watching, let me know if you enjoyed this video, if it helps you and if you want to see more investing videos! Don't forget to subscribe, as well, to not miss a beat from me.
Small disclaimer: I am not a professional, not professional advice and please perform your own research!
