Concrete Ceiling Slab Pour | Our House Build

Our safe room project is finally complete! 640 12" blocks pumped full of concrete. Topped with 9, 12' steel beams from edge to edge, welded down to steel plates locked into the block walls, with another course of 12' block and covered with steel pan-decking across the top that were welded down to the steel beam below... have brought us to the day we've all been waiting for. This a monumental project has finally come to an end.

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. That was a pressure filled race against the clock before the concrete truck arrived! Phew! Team work certainly made that dream work (even though it was a bit of a nightmare process).
Now they can truly move ahead with the rest of this build. So looking forward to seeing the next sections progress ahead.

My parents bought a house and totally renovated everything, I worked like a trojan back then ( I was about 11 or 12)
