In other words: the government doesn't want to let go of it's new emergency powers so instead of talking about the universal decline in covid cases, hospitalizations and deaths, we're going to report the presence of variants with no perspective or communication of relative risk.

So if this is an inevitability.... Maybe let it wildfire and unlock everything, so as to prevent depression and suicide rates from skyrocketing.
Alternatively, vote out federal and provincial governments that have slowed immunization rates due to ineptitude, lack of oversight and lack of foresight.

The WHO has said that for testing the number when checking the test was way too high and caused false positives. (Only after the maker of the test said he test shouldn't be used) so now it's 25... Ontario still running it at 45 p, which cause false positives.
