Dale was honestly the best character in the first 2-3 TWD seasons, i loved his personality and i loved that he was trying to keep humanity in people.

Jon Bernthal plays that type of character so good, Shane, The Punisher, both similar roles played so well by him.
EDIT: Hey, I’ve had some comments talking about how Jon Bernthal has other good roles that aren’t these two, or like them. I agree, my point in this comment was that his skills at playing roles like Shane and The Punisher are better than most other’s (IMO). So yes, he does play other roles that aren’t similar to Shane or The Punisher, but those two Characters shine brighter than normal because of Jon, I hope I’ve explained my point better, have an amazing day!
