3:41 It looks like a solar eclipse because it IS a solar eclipse. It's just that the body eclipsing the sun in this case is the Earth, instead of the Moon when we see one standing on the Earth. Both are eclipses of the solar disk, just by different objects.

I can never tell how far the lander is from the surface looking at the craters because they come in all sizes.

I mentioned the significance of the solar eclipse as filmed from the Moon to my partner. The lander saw the EARTH is covering the Sun! We saw a Lunar Eclipse. I got goosebumps knowing what was happening. Absolutely awesome!

At minute 2:30, your explanation of the universe's expansion was so enlightening! The visuals and the way you broke it down made such a complex topic feel so much more accessible. Truly amazing content, I can’t wait to see more!

The Apollo missions recorded their landings with 16mm film, which has a resolution similar to HD.

Witnessing the Moon in HD is surreal. It makes me ponder: what if it suddenly disappeared? We’ve visualized that scenario in our latest short.

The only thing I don't understand, is why, whether it's NASA or some anonymous Youtube account, every time they post video footage of some ground-breaking achievement in Outer Space or other, they always, but _always_ have to accompany it with some totally inappropriate and obtrusive unnatural corporate muzak anthem that entirely detracts from whatever natural awe and fascination is inherent within the footage. With all the canon of beautiful music down the centuries to choose from in the public domain. And with silence always being a perfectly viable option, and especially appropriate on the Moon. What is it about space research publicists that they have no musical sense whatsoever? Let no such man be trusted. Let us hope that DOGE will get to them soon enough.

You don't need the music for the video.

I was twelve years old when the apollo 11 landed on the moon, and remember looking at the moon from our yard
And thinking there are people up there / I hope to do the same thing very soon , Thanks good video chris 🚀🛰🛰🌙🌞🌞🌞

I love how well the landing shot shows the retroreflective properties of the lunar soil. You see this same exact effect in the Apollo videos. In shots of the LEM landing where the camera shows the LEM's shadow, you can see a bright halo surrounding the shadow just like with this video.

Can you turn up the music please, there's a weird voice somewhere in the background.

Do astronauts ever get sick of the fact that space always has that shitty music playing throughout the cosmos?
Everywhere you go in space that fucking pish is always playing.
I guess they can’t hear it in their suits…

You need to lower the music volume and raise the voice volume we cant really hear what you are saying!

Just sitting here stoned thinking, wow the last time man walked the moon was 65 years ago. And technology has come a long way from that time. Crazy they did it.🤯

I remember telling a family member on the 14th that it would be cool if they landed a probe with a camera on the moon during a lunar eclipse. I had no idea there actually was one filming during it.

Thank you - this is astonishing footage! I vaguely remember Apollo (I was 4 at the time). To be honest, in those days I probably would have assumed we'd be living on the Moon by now... especially as I was already watching Thunderbirds! But this is a perfectly thrilling second best, to be sure. How wonderful :)

Nice video, but you ought to have spent a little more time mixing the audio to a more professional standard as the narration is drowned out by the music.
