Senior Van Life: Another stranger Comes To My Rescue!!

This solo female trip across the country in my converted van rv has truly reinforced my belief that there are more good people than bad in the world. From thrle amazing people I met who have come together to form a caring and supportive community at Incredible Tiny Homes to strangers who have more than once come to my aid expecting and wanting nothing in return it has been a joy traveling this country camping ajd boondocking all across the way. At every stop total strangers extended kindness allowing me to park overnight and in more than one instance even looking out on me to make sure I was okay. If you ever doubt that there are still many kind people out there just take a cross country try trip and you will meet them. I now carry a tire inflator machine in my car, & add/remove air myself all the time with ease & peace of mind. I LOVE no longer having to detour to a tire shop or relying on anybody else.

America’s tires also has free tire pressure check and they will repair flats or tires that might have a puncture of some sort like a nail or something free!

Womderful to have people who can help you!! Sometimes its a bad air pressure sensor( varies in price)...but often if no obvious leak it can be the rims need resealed...about $20-40..

So near our home in the East Bay! Plus we need a new set of tires before we hit the road to Cabo San Lucas this winter, (not van life, unfortunately, but learning how to do the drive w/ our son as support/instructor). Thanks for all of your helpful info & inspiration!

I used to live in San Leandro just a mile or two from that place. They've taken care of my car several times when I lived in California. I had to leave the Bay Area because he became too expensive for me to survive, before I knew about van life and that that might have been an option.
