Of course there are. You've really got to spend some time listening to Johnathan Pageau.

Pagan rituals and sensibilities were often incorporated to ease the transition to Catholicism and certainly the mysticism of earlier religions had the same. Not using the J-word because people trip out about it.

Isn’t the wine cup a representation of the divine feminine? 🔻

I also enjoy long form but these short, succinct blasts are a real treat.

At this point one should rather ask which "is NOT"

Dionysus as the vine and wine was definitely used for Jesus. One example, and specifically tied to the Epiphany date is Dionysus turning water into wine in the latest written Gospel of John only: "Clearly, the miracle of turning water into wine was closely associated with Dionysos in the early second century AD when the Gospel of John was written. Anyone reading the Gospel of John’s account of Jesus turning water into wine would have been instantly reminded of Dionysos." Clearly, there are many more differing points between them but not the vine and wine.

The symbolism is a connection to the mysteries, perhaps a preponderance of evidence is more compelling to make the case for the layman though.

On Christmas eve we burn oak leafs with our family prechristian tradition also saints patron every family has one and on their day we comemorate them but also its an ancestory cult since we remember our ancestors who pass than guardian down. Christianity integrated people and their customs but everything thats not canonical doesnt have place in it and shouldnt be celebrated like that Santa Muerte shit and so on...
