Two hours of wrecking my brain, rending my clothes to tatters, screeching like the banshee and then just one minute with the fabulous ''It's me Gregor'' and all my problems, at least for today, my problems have vanished.

This is fantastic! One question. I have a Show File that I use live and was originally using .wav format. The folder is now 15GB, so I am thinking to reduce size to .mp3. If I convert files in the project, will my audio events on the timeline be broken or will it still point to the correct files?

Great tip, thanks. No mp3 conversion (for those who would want that)? Do you know why that was excluded?

Completely out of subject and sorry...
If I may since this conversation is live and I can't find help for this...
Is there a way to group " events" or " audio clips" as a permanent group as we do with tracks ?
Thanks... Still learning....Great Daw....

Thanks, Gregor. Please could you clarify whether importing a 48khz file into the pool in a 44.1khz session and then downsampling to 44.1khz would result in a different result than importing the same 48khz file into a 48khz session to perform the down sample to 44.1khz - not clear from the manual whether the session sample rate makes any difference to this process. Many thanks

Thanks Gregor - people always ask about converting stereo to mono, especially when you bounce Midi Instrument tracks as this defaults to stereo. And any way this can be changed so it doesn't default to stereo?

Thought id ask this question here as the video showing off Studio One 5 is months old. Ive asked on many forums with no replies. Whenever I create a track and name it for example "Mid Bass 1" and its got an instrument already assigned to it, if I change the instrument, it automatically renames it to the instrument name. Can I stop this? Its literally driving me that mad I'm thinking of switching :/

This is really annoying, I have the pro version and I can't import Mp3 files, converting to WAV and importing to pool does nothing. This shouldnt be this hard.
