After 58 years of tying a bowline, i find it is a jam knot with a loop. You have a unique and outstanding style. Keep posting, keep learning.

You do a great job! People may ask why so many knots to learn? Well, there are three main types
of useful knots: 1. A hitch, which secures a line to an object such as a post. Example, a double half
hitch. 2. A bend, which joins two lines. Example, a sheet bend. 3. A loop, which forms a loop in the
end of a line. Example, a bowline. There may be another type, such as the great Prussic knot which
joins two lines and allows one of the lines to slip to a controllable point on the other line.

Finally, there are three qualities for the best knot for a given situation : 1. Is it easy to tie?
2. Does it serve the purpose? 3. Is it EASY TO UNTIE?

Without doubt, one of the most comprehensive support channels on yt. Bushcraft, camping, hunting, the list goes on. Great method of instruction, no nonsense or condescension. I can describe what you do in 1 word.

Outstanding!

Wanted to say, sir, that I had a chance to use your improvised Marlin Spike Hitch at work. I'm in trucking, and the strap that I was using didn't have the other clip end. So I created the hitch and a broken piece of pallet and it was nice and tight and the freight wasn't heading anywhere! Many thanks!

Good Video. The Marlin Spike Hitch is a real Swiss army knot. It can do even more. With one move the Marlin Spike Hitch can be manipulated to form the Artillery loop, a fixed loop that can be tied in bight, (the middle of the rope). Be aware that it's a directional loop that should be pulled one way, unlike the alpine butterfly which can go any direction. It's very handy for the Truckers Hitch.
On the jam knot and the stopper knot it's a good idea to tie it "slippery" with a bight not the end, so it's easy to undo later.
