This video follows my own notes after having done a close reading of the Communist Manifesto. The ideas and summaries are my own. The "book" is very simple and short and I encourage you to read it yourself and see if you think my summaries are fair.
Full disclosure: I disagree sharply with Karl Marx's philosophy, worldview and diagnosis of the why mankind experiences inequality. However, I will not engage in criticisms in this video.

For a comparison with the figure Jesus Christ and the question of whether he was a communist, see the following video:

This is the first video that I watched from you. I'm from Mexico, but let me tell you that I had always been fascinated with this kind of subjects and intrigue with Marxism. I consider myself a liberal, but that doesn't mean I cannot learn from other ideas. However, I believe that every single man needs to be critical with Marxism and analyze it deeply.

Abolition is in the dialectical sense, it is the negation of the old to form the new, it is not the total annihilation of the old. This is expressed often by leftists such as engels' famous "abolish state as state", when marx says "abolish private property", he is speaking of the conceptual framework of private property, not to burn down factories and live in an "equal agrarian society". Again, this is the transformation of what was into what is, this process of becoming is integral to understanding marx.

Thank you for this detailed analysis. I'm working on an essay on the relationship between communist China's reforms in the 1980s and Karl Marx's vision in the manifesto, and this video cleared up some major problems I had with the literature.

Very simple and short; the ten point plan is worth considering with a lot of attention.

The birds work for the bourgeoisie!!!
Thank you so much for making this. I have to read it for a class and I understand like 0% of what it says

I do remember learning an interpretation about Marx’s views on bourgeois marriage and the way it was described is that marriage was seen as a way to further your wealth and keep money in the family/build more of it, as opposed to a genuine union of love and family. Marx wanted to do away with that kind of monetary transactional system of marriage that the bourgeois class would engage in.

if you are poor or disadvantaged or jealous of wealthy/rich/aristocratic then it is natural tp favour a more equitable system, and this is where socialist parties such as communist parties can come to power - hence why poor countries often favour this system particularly if a strong leader - as we have seen in the past

10:02 he doesn't mean all criticism to communism is wrong he means the critiques he was told at that point was not worth putting in the manifesto. He has responded to criticism in other books and so has Engels
