They really did arrange Steam Decks on a circular frame and time the animation. For something that do computer animation and simulation, this is truly physical effort

For an incremental update, they picked one of the best things to change. A bit of a shame it probably isn’t a valve-endorsed standalone upgrade for the existing Steam Decks in the wild, but the option and seamless integration with the existing hardware and software is a good start.

There's been quite a few handheld PC's since the OG deck, but the deck is literally the only one that has a control layout that makes sense (not just blindly copying the switch, which makes playing anything that requires you to use the right analogue stick comfortably more or less impossible), and the OS gives you that console like experience that handhelds need. Definitely upgrading when this is available in my region!

I'd love to see a Steam Controller based off of the controls of the Steam Deck. Having both analog sticks, more grip buttons AND 2 trackpads would be a very nice upgrade. I'm not sure if they could cram all of that onto a controller and still have room for a D-Pad without making it the size of the Xbox Duke. I can dream though.

I have to say, The Steam deck and support it has is top notch. I had an aisle with mine where it started having an issue with one of the analog sticks. All I had to do was send it in to valve and they fixed it free of charge

This has to be one of the best Console reveal trailers. I love how the logo at the end is on the actual display so you can SEE its OLED. And how they used the Steam deck displays for lighting and show the HDR. Its sooo GOOD! I love this!

The Steamdesk is such an amazing product, I never thought as a child we'd be able to play desktop PC games on a handheld. A great blend of Open-Source ingiunity.
