This video covers:
- What an electric field is
- How to draw electrostatic field lines
- Electrostatic attraction and repulsion
- How air can be 'ionised' and how this can cause sparks

General info:
- Suitable for all GCSE and IGCSE courses
- See below for whether it is higher or foundation tier for your exam board
- See below for whether it is triple or combined for your exam board

Exam board specific info:
AQA - Only triple science (both foundation and higher tier)
IGCSE Edexcel - Only triple science (and only higher tier)
Edexcel - Only triple science (both foundation and higher tier)
OCR 21st Century - Only triple science (both foundation and higher tier)
OCR Gateway - Only triple science (both foundation and higher tier)

This is actually a life saver it teaches me more in 3 minutes than my physics teacher has taught me in 3 years

sometimes teachers fail to just slow down for a second and clearly explain a concept properly. you're a lifesaver

The 1st part was pretty known by most of the people but the practical presentation was something else. It was comprehensive and as the last part was really interesting to know how sparks sometimes passed through air. It couldn't get any less easy❤❤❤

You used a strongly charged metal to explain the relationship between electric fields and air, but I thought metals cannot become charged due too their conducting characteristics? Please someone explain this!

How does the strong electric field ionise air molecules?? I've looked all over google but i can't find an answer 😕
