When she said "my husband had him by the collar saying 'PLEASE SAVE MY WIFE!' and Malcolm said 'Lets go!"
That is intense! Give Malcolm a medal of honor for his bravery!

He deserves the Presidential Medal of Honor. All firefighters deserve it but this man, went in with just the husband to save one woman from her certain death. He’s a hero. Well done Malcolm.

That’s a couple in love and a husband that begged for help for his wife’s life and it was amazing they all made it all safe. Malcom is really a hero. It brought a tear to my eye too to see how scared and thankful she is to be alive and want to thank him.

Malcolm isn’t just a firefighter—he’s a living legend. Stories like this remind us what true heroism looks like. Saving lives, showing heart, and inspiring us all to be better. Absolute respect for him and every first responder out there

I can see why Malcolm is a hero.

A very down to earth humble hero.

As a pet owner, I would never abandon my dogs. Malcom didn't just rescue this woman, he rescued her beloved fur family too. When she talked about being blinded by smoke, that brought me back to training at the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Academy where we were taught survival if we ever got trapped in a building: to crawl and use one hand to follow one side of a structure while the other was in front to make sure the floor had not given way. We were taught structures, I can't even imagine being out in unfamiliar terrain blinded by smoke and fire and yet still without the most important senses being able to rescue others. Great job Malcom! This is what a true hero looks like. First responders put their lives on the line every day - not just fire fighters, but also police, EMT's, and lets not forget our military. The National Guard are helping in CA. My heart goes out to all those protecting and serving and for those who have had loss.

I am 62 and this story made me cry a little. That is a story of legend. A lesser man would have to deal with that woman's death on his soul, but because Malcom is a hero he receives and gives love, life and the light. Let's all be more like Malcolm.

This story choked me up and brought tears to my eyes, I am so happy to hear any kind of good news during these horrific fires that have destroyed our beloved communities in Los Angeles. It is nothing short of a miracle that Malcolm was able to save Patty and her dog. God bless Malcolm, and all of our first responders who are tirelessly fighting this terrible disaster.

May God continue to keep this wonderful man safe. Both Malcom and her husband are heroes. The radio station I listened to today kept playing her story over and over. I also hope she stays with her husband, who loved her, tried to get back to her and begged Malcolm to go help save her. I think I heard Patty say on the radio that her husband said he was going to save her even if it cost him his own life. That's the kind of husband a good woman wants to have.

Thank you Patty for thanking Malcolm, it is the decent and most human thing to do to show gratitude and appreciation especially for someone who put his life on the line when no one else would.

Heroes walk among us and we don't even know it until something like this happens. Sometimes I want to give up on the human race, but then Malcolm comes along and restores my faith that humans can be selfless, courageous, and extraordinarily kind. As Malcom pointed out there are many who did not survive this horrendous fire and we must pray for them and their families. His work is not yet finished and I pray for his safety and the safety of his comrades. You're all heroes. Thank you Malcom from the bottom of my heart. 🙏❤
