Hi Maam true 100% true said as this method works for all division questions, the other approximate tricks shown on youtube have some limitations, thank u maam and ha u have a sweet voice.

To be honest, this is how i divided numbers my whole life unintentionally 😂 i always used approximations

thanks for the video 152. i start by subtracting from 48 cause its easy, so 1. 5x32=160 so 166-160=6. 64/32=2 so 152. this works for decimals also, you just keep adding zero's and subtracting down until you get each decimal till as many numbers you need. you have to be very careful not to add numbers to the answer twice by mistake! very good video

DIY comin' in hot!!
As we're given here 4864÷32
By the method of approximation,
Step 1:-
Let us focus on the first two digits from the left, i.e 48. We can clearly observe that 32×2 will most probably give us a number greater than 48. Hence, if we'll subtract 48 by 32, we'll be left with 16 as our remainder in this step & we'd therefore get 1 as the first digit of the quotient from left.

Step 2:-
Now, get the next digit of the dividend with the remainder, i.e 6 with 16, with which now we'll have 166 as our new remainder. Here we can see that the greatest number with which it can be subtracted is 32×5, i.e 160, which when subtracted from 166, gives us 6 as our new remainder and the second digit of the quotient from left.

Step 3:-
Now, get the last digit of the dividend with the remainder, i.e 4 with 6, with which now we'll have 64 as our new remainder. We know that 32×2 gives us 64. Hence, when we'll subtract it with 64, we'll get our final remainder as 0 & 2 as the last digit of the quotient from left. Hence, putting the digits of quotient in order, we'll get 152 as our answer.
