Now Im thinking the pain in Lestat is so profund because Magnus killed himself, Nicky killed himself, Claudia nearly killed herself and now she is dead, and Louie also tried to kill himself...and Lestat who is such a life's lover, is thinking "what I ever did so wrong that all the people arround me are hurting themeselves? Please stop."

Lestat looks so beautiful but fragile, remembering the date and exact time, and being so scared something terrible happened to Louis. They may not stay together, but forgiving and grieving together has healed their bond. Season 3 will be epic!

Them being vulnerable like this is such a massive leap in their relationship. No arguing, no combativeness, no clever comebacks. Just two hurt men apologizing for who they used to be.

Louis is only this open/ vulnerable with Lestat. Claudia nor Armand could bring this out of him. They will never find anyone as right for them as each other.

Lestat is by no means a good person, but that's what makes him a deeply interesting character. This scene had me bawling my eyes out, along with the revelation that it had been him that saved Louis in Paris. The fact that he was living in a hovel when he could have taken back his old home without any issues because he thought Louis was either dead or never wanted to see him again. Because that house was only a home with Louis in it and he only loved New Orleans because of Louis, it was the start of everything for him.

His show of remorse and pain here just broke my heart, because you realise how much he loves Louis and Claudia. Even though he and Claudia never saw eye to eye and Claudia despised him, she was still his daughter and as she was dying she looked to him like a daughter would to her father as Lestat had said. He is eternally haunted by his failure to save her and being the last person she saw when she died. I don't even think Magnus and Nicky's deaths affected him this badly.

Sam Reid has proven himself to be an absolutely spectacular actor who brought Lestat to life. Other renditions of him never factored in his complexities which are so important for a character like him.

What a beautiful scene with amazing acting by Sam and Jacob. It really felt like two people grieving as lovers but also as parents. When they talked about Claudia my heart broke 💔

1. Bought the club for him
2. Made a child vampire for him
3. Was willing to relocate from New Orleans for Louis.

And to think that Magnus died, Nicolas died, Antoinette died, Claudia died, Louis tried to kill himself.

It must hurt Lestat so much that all the people around him keep dying.
