Why The CS2 Community HATES This Good Update

CS2 just got an update with new community maps added to the official game modes and some quality of life fixes... so why is the community so upset about it?

I was a tester of CS2 and I found the High DPI VacLife vac ban bug, I reported it to valve but they still didn't remove the vac ban from my account, they actually never responded

Its not that THEY abandoned counterstrike for other projects, its that whoever THEY are, are now outputting the equivalent of 2-3 people worth of work. This is a set of minor bug fixes and the rest wasn't created by Valve.

What CS2 players dont want is to not fall into the same hellhole that Team Fortress 2 players fell into, nobody wants nothing but community made dumps, we want items, maps, or skins made by valve, we would rather see a sign of effort from valve than see imports from the community workshop, this isnt to say that community made items are bad, its just that we would rather have valve themselves add something to their OWN games

It's been over 9 months since full release.
We didn't want maps that have been in the workshop for months.
We didn't want fancy mvp banners.

We want voice chat in party lobby.
We want reliable, consistent performance from the "sub tick" system.
We want a reliable anti cheat - CS is bottom of the ladder in terms of anti cheat compared to ALL of its major competitors - which is just downright embarrassing.

Yes, we want an operation - an operation really would have been a big attention grabber.

But does anyone remember Activision announcing Ricochet Anticheat for Warzone? It brought MILLIONS of players back to COD.

Yes - I feel like they did a pretty good job sharpening up the matchmaking rank system.

Valve will never do this but i still genuinely believe the best route is for them to admit they made a mistake forcing cs2 down our throats and just rerelease csgo and put cs2 back into beta. They should then just invest a little bit of time to porting over the like 15 skins that they have actually released back to csgo just so people arent pissed. honestly it sad how valve pretty much just released a worse version of go with some relatively minor changes that arent even necessarily improvements, at least in my opinion. I wouldnt have cared if cs2 released in the state it did but deleting csgo was the worst decision they could have made.

i tried the wingman maps in europe. 3 games of memento after an averaged queue time of 20 minutes. i got a ragehacking teammate all 3 times. why am i expected to be happy that valve added someone else's work in a game that still doesn't work properly?

what annoy me the most is CS2 is lacking like 80% of the content we already have in CSGO we don't even have a normal server browser add to that wallhackers every where in premier I just hope valve don't block any new content they add if they ever decided to add content in the first place behind pay walls like they did to the factions 90% of the community hate agent skins and still valve want to push it down our throats

There is a easter egg in the map Pool day.
A door handle will appear if you open one of the lockers beside the pool. Press "E" again, and your screen will momentarily turn completely white before transforming into the old-school 1.6 looks.

CS2 Player Wishlist:


1. We need Subtick WITH 128 Tick.

2. Better anti cheat for Matchmaking and Premier. 

3. Cl_bob, Clear_Decals reintroduced.

4. Older game modes and community modes like surf reintroduced/ revamped.

5. Fix dying behind walls, rubberbanding, and the insane peekers advantage.

6. Improve Bunny hopping and movement.

7. We should always able to reconnect if network drops.

8. Fix the "XYZ" did not accept the match  problem where the accept icon does not even show up.

9. We need Train, Cache, and Cobblestone back.

10. If all or most of these are met, a new operation would be awesome.

just want to take a moment to say that while i dont even play CS anymore, i still always click on a video when its on my feed. youve consistently uploaded some of my favourite content for years now and i just want to take a moment and say i appreciate that
